Educational Program
Doula Training, Mentorship, and Inclusion:
We recognize the vital role that doulas play in supporting birthing individuals and families. Therefore, we offer a scholarship-based comprehensive training program for professional doulas, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide culturally sensitive and holistic care.
Additionally, we provide mentorship opportunities to aspiring doulas, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a pipeline of skilled birth workers.
About the Educational Program
With the help of seed funding from our partners, local experts, organization, SABDC, and Doula [U]niversity creators, created a program that combines birth and postpartum doula training along with mentorship to increase the number of community doulas who are equipped with skills, tools, and networking opportunities to help our overall mission of decreasing the maternal and infant mortality rates, especially among black families.
Our Educational Program Includes:

-
SABDC will match you with a seasoned doula to continue to work with while you work with families
-
SABDC will make sure you graduate from the program with your food handling certificate to add an additional skill to your doula services.
-
SABDC will set each doula up with either a postpartum or birth family in need to support their certification process and help guide the doula’s first few clients.
