Meet Rozlin Johnson

I have worked as a birth and postpartum doula since 2015. I have recently obtained my certification as a lactation counselor with The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice and also my certification as a Black Lactation Educator through the B.L.A.C.K Course. I am currently studying to become an IBCLC- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant while working to start my own lactation practice “Loving Moms”. My goal is to be able to provide my community with the best care in birth and lactation and to do what I can to change the narrative in the statistics around black birthing and lactating families. Birth is such a special time in a family’s life and My goal is to make sure that it can remain as enjoyable as possible. I support all birthing people and all types of birth except for unassisted births. In lactation support, I want to make sure that the mother, infant dyad gets off to the best start on their breastfeeding journey and support them during any challenges that may arise on the way. I was called to do this work and I do it with my whole heart.
