Meet Jior Jette
I am Jior, and as a trained birth doula, I am here to provide you with the education, information and support to be empowered in your birth experience. My job is to give you all the information you need to feel confident to advocate for yourself and make the best decision for yourself and your baby as you bring them "Earth-side".
My experience includes 6 years as a Medical Technician in the United States Air Force, during which time I was assigned to an Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic. During my tenure as a Women's Health Technician & Supervisor, I taught child-birthing classes, facilitated group pregnancy appointments and provided complete reproductive care for military service members and their families. This was probably where my love for Reproductive Health began.
Academically, I have studied the functioning of society (Sociology) and Public Health. It was through those academic endeavors that I gained my appreciation for reproductive justice and my passion for addressing the barriers many groups experience when trying to build families of their own.
I am of the belief that everyone deserves the best support available when it comes to their birth experience. Everyone deserves judgement-free and knowledgeable support/advocacy. No matter who you are, how the world sees you, or how you see yourself, I am ready to provide support throughout your entire pregnancy and birth journey!
